Martials making mayhem! (New toys make Fighters and Martials AWESOME)

Okay first off.. I'm WAAAY off my resolution from last year (2014) and I can't begin to apologize. Of course a 52 list of PFS builds was quite a bit unrealistic.  So, I'll try my hand of reviewing and highlighting things I like or that I think will really rock as well as tossing things.

Tonight, I have two splatbooks that absolutely ROCK for fighter/melee types. The first one came out in august, the Dirty Tactics Toolbox.

Player Companion: Dirty Tactics Toolbox

Do you want to poke someone in the eye really really good? Does the 'Nut shot +4 of awesomeness' really need a bit more? You got all sorts of toys in here. Dirty Trick fighters (and rogues, an magi, and....) have some really epic toys to play with. You got ALL sorts of coverage in this book. Tricks, toys, magic items and racial/class features.

A basic line up of the toys include: poisons, sneak attacks, ambushing, dirty tricks, divine trickery, equipment, tools, racial options, magic, and spells.  Oh my so many many toys. There are a variety of new applications to Dirty Trick, such as Superior Dirty Trick. Pick a condition, it takes a FULL round  action to clear it now. Add a dirty trick to a critical hit, a combat maneuver and an entire combat style centered around it. Kitsune Style. Adding two conditions in one hit. Putting a dirty trick in at the end of the charge. Lots of fun there.

Fun note for Kitsune players. There are MANY ways to rack up more magical tails now.

For folks looking to streamline a caster into arcane tricker, accomplished sneak attacker (adds 1d6 to your sneak attack with a limit of 1/2 your levels as cap) makes it awesomely easy to get Trickster by 4th level. Add in an additional impromptu sneak attack to allow more 'this is a sneak attack' moments.

My tower shield specialist, Rhea, is also a nasty mean underhanded fighter. Ask the folks at the Ruby Phoenix tournament. She would walk up to a bad guy.. slap them in the face to blind them with her +2 Adamantine Dueling Bastard Sword ,+28 dirty trick, and she can do it as part of a full round action. So it's Dirty Trick (pick your condition, say.. blind) then I get to continue on with sword hit and sword hit.. :D

Player Companion: Weapon Master's Handbook

The second splatbook is this lovely one, the Weapon Master's Handbook. It has all sorts of crunchy goodness. First, second, and all the way thru this is THE book to get for someone who wants to make a weapon focused character. There are some neat tricks in it. The big trick, for fighters, is that the book offers MORE options for weapon training. You got Advanced Weapon Training, Ranged and Melee Weapon Mastery. Is your archer jealous the gunslinger has deeds? You can get some of them now. Like the war priest's sacred weapon trick? You can get it too. LOTS of toys.. lots of fun.

Want to make a scary knife fighter like Danny Trejo in Desperado? Advance Weapon Training, a few ranged feats, a combat style (yeah they got more combat styles). Want to make a swashbuckler with a sacred fighting style? (Yeah.. Cayden's rapier and mug style!). Check it out.

Two additional splatbooks to check out
-Ranged Tactics Toolkit
-Melee Tactics Tookkit

One more to watch for in the coming month too:
-Armor Master's Handbook
